Why choose a Sustainable Vacation?
What to Expect When Visiting a Eco-Friendly Farm
Bugs
Our business is based in nature. We share this land with all that lives here! Including bugs and insects. There are no refunds if you are upset by any encounters with bugs or insects.
We are also committed to Organic gardening and farming practices, and rely on insects for the Farm's success. Interested in learning more? Check out our Beginning Gardening Workshop.
Alternative Toilets
We utilize both compost and incinerator toilets on the Farm and at Outdoor Bookings.
Compost toilets are for waste and urine only. Toilet paper is to be disposed of in the trash bin provided.
On the Farm, human and animal waste is converted into clean energy, such as gas for cooking!

What are the benefits of Glamping?
Looking for a place where mountains, a flowing creek, and free-roaming farm animals create the perfect escape? Owl Creek Farm Resort is more than just glamping—it’s a scientifically proven way to recharge your body, mind, and soul!
Here’s what science says about the benefits of our farm glamping experience:
Mountain Air for Your Body
Higher altitudes mean cleaner, oxygen-rich air, which boosts lung function, lowers inflammation, and helps your body recover faster (*European Respiratory Journal*).
Sleeping Near a Flowing Creek
The gentle sounds of running water promote deep relaxation and better sleep lowering stress hormones and balancing your nervous system (*Journal of the Acoustical Society of America*).
Surrounded by Free-Roaming Farm Animals
Studies show that interacting with animals reduces anxiety and cortisol levels, increasing feelings of joy and connection (*Frontiers in Psychology*).
Forest Bathing & Outdoor Living
Just being in nature lowers blood pressure, reduces stress, and improves mood (*Shinrin-Yoku research, Japan*).
Mind & Soul Reset
Disconnecting from screens and immersing yourself in nature improves focus, creativity, and emotional well-being (*University of Utah*).
At Owl Creek Farm Resort you get the best of mountain glamping, farm life, and nature’s healing power all in one place. Whether it’s sipping coffee by the creek, falling asleep to the sounds of nature, or waking up to the gentle presence of farm animals, your soul will thank you.
How do I find the farm, and where do I park?
After turning onto Owl Creek Rd from Hanging Dog Rd, you will enter our Farm Resort using the first driveway on your RIGHT. You will see GREEN ground poles and a horse riding road sign. The driveway descends to the gravel parking area, where there is room for approximately 4 cars. Please leave your car in the gravel lot. Do not cross the bridge with your car. You will see a red gate, a bridge crossing the creek, and the Farm Resort.
Note: The Farm Resort has two entrances, the second is unavailable to guests unless otherwise approved by Management. If you pass the evergreens along the road and find a grass driveway with a chain across, you have gone too far!

How comfortable will I be in a Canvas Tent?
Breathability
Canvas allows small moisture particles from breath, sweat, and cooking to escape directly through the tent fabric. Keeping you dry and comfortable in any environment.
Heat Efficiency
Can be safely used with wood burning tent stoves keeping you camping in comfort through all four seasons. Cotton is also a poor conductor which makes it a better insulator than plastic.
Waterproofing
The surface tension of a raindrop prevents the water from passing through the tight weave of quality canvas. The water droplet beads and runs off the steep slope of the canvas canopy – keeping you dry naturally. Heavy rains cause the cotton canvas fibers to swell, further tightening the weave in wet conditions
Ventilation
In addition to the natural breathability of cotton canvas, CanvasCamp tents are equipped with large no-see-um mesh covered vents and windows, and some with 360 degrees of mesh wall. Customizable ventilation allows you to fine tune your airflow to match the weather in seconds.
