Our journey begins in Sicily, where we opened our very first businesses and discovered our true calling: creating, building, and bringing visions to life. For us, starting new ventures has never been just work, it is a passion, a way of living. We are pioneers at heart, always inspired by change, by new beginnings, and by the challenge of transforming ideas into reality.

From Sicily, our path took us across the ocean to Florida, where we continued to build and manage successful restaurants. Each project deepened our love for entrepreneurship and for creating spaces where people could connect, share, and feel at home.

Eventually, life brought us to the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina. Here, between forest and creek, we found the land that allowed us to unite all our passions: Owl Creek Farm Resort. It is the place where our entrepreneurial spirit meets our devotion to Mother Nature, where business is balanced with art, and where every choice honors the earth.
MEET
Gianfranco
An accomplished interior designer, Gianfranco has an innate talent for bringing harmony, structure, and beauty into spaces. Beyond design, he is also a painter, using art as a way to explore and express the unseen dimensions of life.

Throughout his life, Gianfranco — together with his wife Alessandra — has had the opportunity to travel extensively, both for work and for passion and study. These journeys allowed them to embrace and appreciate many different cultures around the world, from California and Hawaii to Honduras, Spain, England, Mexico, Italy, and beyond.

Gianfranco also earned his degree in the United States, further enriching his vision and expanding his creative horizons.
​
Passionate about a wide range of interests, he shares with Alessandra a love for gardening, art, woodworking, yoga, and meditation. Both are also deeply passionate about Italian cuisine and traditional recipes — a passion that naturally led them to work for many years in the restaurant industry as well as in hospitality. Their culinary and hosting experiences reflect the same dedication, warmth, and creativity that they bring into every aspect of their lives.

Alessandra
Alessandra is a visionary entrepreneur.
She builds from zero companies, communities, and ecosystems guided by intuition, strategic clarity, and the courage to begin where others hesitate.
Over the past years, she has launched and led start-ups across Sicily, Florida, and North Carolina, operating at the intersection of hospitality, experiential design, and human-centered business development. She is the mind behind immersive events, curated expos, and transformational gatherings creating spaces where people don’t just attend, they belong.
As an Event & Expo Creator and HR Strategist for her businesses, Alessandra designs not only experiences, but teams, culture, and vision alignment. She recognizes talent, shapes roles organically, and builds working environments where purpose drives performance.
Beyond business, her grounding force is the land.
Biodynamic farming, beekeeping, and hands-on creation keep her connected to what is real, cyclical, and alive. This relationship with nature informs everything she builds enterprises rooted in authenticity, sustainability, and long-term resilience.
She does not follow trends.
She initiates new directions.
