Your Chickens. Our Land. One Beautiful Partnership.

A biodynamic solution for ethical, natural, and resilient egg production.

Not everyone can raise chickens at home — maybe due to HOA restrictions, lack of space, time, or experience. That’s why Owl Creek Farm offers a unique solution: your own hens, in your own coop, on our land.

We are a biodynamic farm, which means we go beyond organic. Our approach is rooted in natural cycles, holistic animal care, and regenerative land stewardship. Everything at Owl Creek is designed to support a self-sustaining ecosystem — one where animals, plants, soil, and people thrive in harmony.

With egg prices continuing to rise — averaging $6.22 per dozen as of May 2025, and reaching $12–$16 per dozen in major U.S. cities for organic eggs — people are looking for safer, more ethical, and more sustainable ways to access fresh food.

The poultry industry has faced major challenges, including over 100 million hens lost to avian flu outbreaks. Our program offers local food security, humane animal care, and a deeper connection to nature — all without the hassle of daily work.

Our Biosecurity & Breeding Standards

To protect our entire flock and preserve the health of our land, only Owl Creek hens or chicks are allowed.

As a biodynamic farm, we follow natural, non-invasive cycles for reproduction and avoid artificial manipulation. We use a mixed-hatching method, meaning we do not focus on preserving pure breeds. Instead, we intentionally cross a variety of hardy, proven lines to produce:

  • Stronger immune systems

  • Better adaptation to natural conditions

  • Long-term vitality and performance

Our hens are raised for resilience, not exhibition. They thrive outdoors and do well in all seasons.

A Natural Life: Water, Woods & Wide Open Space
All hens at Owl Creek enjoy:

  • Unlimited access to fresh mountain spring water

  • Over 6 acres of pasture and open field, with plenty of room to roam, scratch, and forage

  • Edge-of-forest access, where they find shade, insects, and a more natural ecosystem

This environment not only supports their physical health, but also reduces stress — leading to healthier eggs and more natural behavior.

As part of our biodynamic approach, we also encourage wild plant diversity and apply compost and herbal preparations to nourish the soil that supports our entire system.

How Many Eggs Can You Expect?

On average, 3 hens can produce 550 to 750 eggs per year — that’s around 45 to 65 dozen, depending on diet, age, and season.

You’ll enjoy a consistent supply of high-quality, farm-fresh eggs, raised on a farm where animal welfare and land health go hand in hand.

🌿 Biodynamic Means More Than Organic

At Owl Creek, we believe that food grown in harmony with nature feeds not just the body, but the soul. Our farm follows biodynamic principles based on seasonal rhythms, soil health, and life force energy.

That means:

  • No synthetic fertilizers or chemicals

  • Natural pest balance (no chemical sprays)

  • Herbal and mineral preparations for soil vitality

  • Respect for animal rhythms and ecosystems

  • Integration of cosmic and lunar cycles in planting and care

Your chickens aren’t just on our land — they’re part of a regenerative, living system.
