Eco-Friendly Glamping and Outdoor Events Space nestled in the Sacred Land of Cherokee County.
About Us
When we found this land, we fell in love with the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. We also cherish the nature of the neighboring Nantahala National Forest, as well as the community we've found in our town, Murphy. This land in which we live within Cherokee County is exactly in the Land of the Natives (Cherokee, Yuchi, and Miccosukee), who have lived here for more than 10,000 years. Precious and Sacred water surrounds and flows through the land, including 1300 ft of Owl Creek, our namesake! This is one of the reasons that led us to choose this Sacred place to carry out our little dream!
At Owl Creek Farm Resort, we promote the concept of a sustainable vacation. You will have the opportunity to immerse yourself with this land we share, without losing the comforts of city life, to re-connect your body, your soul and your mind again with Gaia, or Mother of All Life. When you stay with us, let the natural rhythms of nature be your master, and enjoy the present (also called Golden Moment)!

Meet our Namesake, Owl Creek.
Sacred spring water flows through these high elevations and down into our pasture, supplying humans and animals alike with its offering. With sufficient rain, you can enjoy floating or tubing the 1300 ft of Owl Creek that meanders through the land, Earth's original "lazy-river"! In the chance that the creek's water is low, use the opportunity to get your toes wet and examine rocks.
While it is mandated by law that the majority of our farm's grounds be maintained, you will see on your visit that we keep the banks along Owl Creek full with native grasses and flowers. Not only does this act as a "highway" of sorts for our resident pollinators, like bees and butterflies, but it also protects the banks of the creek against erosion
It is important to note that not one or multiple persons owns Owl Creek, it is of the land. While we cannot control how others not on our farm treat this resource, we ask that our guests show respect by using the biodegradable and natural cleaning products provided to you.
